Every Fred runs on its own server. Not a shared cluster. Not a multi-tenant SaaS platform. A real, dedicated machine that belongs to you and you alone.
Your conversations, your files, your business data, your memory. All of it lives on your server. No other customer can see it. No other customer's data is on the same machine.
What happens with your data
Stored on your server only
Your data lives on your server. We don't maintain a central copy of your conversations, files, or business data.
Never used for training
Your conversations are never used to train AI models. Not by us, and not by the AI providers we use. Your data is not a product.
Never shared
We don't sell, share, or provide access to your data. No third-party analytics. No advertising. No exceptions.
Yours to delete
Cancel anytime. We export your data if you want it, then decommission and wipe the server. No retention, no lock-in.
How Fred stays safe
Fred can do real work. That means we take safety seriously.
Tiered approval system
Read-only actions (research, analysis, searching) run freely. Write actions (creating files, drafting content) are logged. Execute actions (sending emails, running commands, making changes) require your explicit approval. Fred asks before doing anything risky.
Sandboxed execution
Fred can only access files in his own workspace. Web requests are protected against common attacks. All output is scanned for accidental leaks before being stored or sent.
Built from the ground up
Fred is custom-built software, written in Rust. Not a wrapper around someone else's project. That means fewer moving parts, fewer things that can go wrong, and a smaller attack surface.
AI model providers
Fred uses third-party AI models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini) to process your messages. When you send Fred a message, its content is sent to these providers for processing.
We use provider API tiers that do not train on your data. Your messages are processed and discarded by the provider. They are not stored, indexed, or used for model training.
Fred's persistent memory and conversation history are stored locally on your server, not with the AI providers.
